Las Vegas Gambles on City Center
In this holiday season, Las Vegas is looking to increase its fortune, opening the new City Center; we are talking about an $8.5 billion dollar bet.
City Center will be opened Wednesday, unveiling its luxury spas, casinos and the recent Elvis Presley tribute. Although it involves a great risk, City Center hopes to be a gift that will keep giving, as Las Vegas was greatly affected by the recession.
Donny Osmond declared CBS News, “Christmas in Vegas is so different than any other place. It’s not about cuddling up next to the fireplace–this is about a neon party land.”
Cirque de Soleil is opening “Viva Elvis” in the new Aria Hotel, as part of the City Center. It is spread on 67 acres including custom art, high-tech suites and high-end shopping. Eva Longoria has her own restaurant at City Center as she opened her Beso Restaurant.
City Center is not just about entertainment, it is a real business for Las Vegas, as City Center alone has created about 12,000 new jobs.
