Las Vegas Christmas
The Christmas in Las Vegas is not the same as in the other cities. At first glance, when you arrive in Las Vegas you might start wondering if it is Christmas indeed. There is no snow in Vegas, no Christmas tress in front of Casinos and no holiday lights across the Strip. Nevertheless, don’t be fooled, as Christmas in Las Vegas is enjoyed by millions each and every year, and the city will do its best to celebrate it in its own special way.
This time of the year is a perfect time to visit Vegas as there are Christmas shows in the city. You might feel strange in Vegas at some point because it is crowded with foreigners from all around the world: French, German, Japanese, Israelis or Iranians, they are all here. It looks like almost Americans are a minority in this time of the year.
Even if the city, seen from outside doesn’t look as if it is prepared for Christmas, once you are inside you’ll know for sure what time of the year it is. Casino employees have Santa hats and ads and flyers are everywhere for Christmas shows in Las Vegas. Every hotel and resorts celebrate Christmas in their own special way, for instance the fine-tuned fountains at the Bellagio Hotel or the outstanding collection of Christmas lights that embellish the Fremont Street Experience. A Christmas in Vegas will show you how you can make the most out of a holiday.
Of course, the famous and renowned casinos are the ones celebrating Christmas with the most effort and luxury. For example, the interior of the Bellagio will give you the sensation of a monopoly on Christmas decorations. A wide range of ornaments hang in the air above the guests and tourists, the tree is an enormous one; everything is colored in red, green and white. All the glamour of Christmas seems to be concentrated within the Vegas hotels and casinos.
Las Vegas, the city of gambling has another side as well. As you walk through the city, you will see a great number of people alone. It points out once again, that money and good look is a not a guarantee for happiness and personal; fulfillment. The casinos are crowded with people who are gambling, playing at the slot machines with no emotions on their faces. Everyone is concerned about money, about the odds of winning. They are all after the illusion of getting rich over night. Yes, that might be possible, but might also end up losing a fortune within minutes.
Whatever your intentions are in Las Vegas, Christmas time in the city is a great time. It is not something that it is likely to find in any other city in the world. The Christmas in Las Vegas will be a time to remember for a long time.
