Las Vegas is a big city and just like any other metropolitan area, safety on your vacation is an important issue.

It is no secret that people come to Las Vegas to spend a lot of money or to make a fortune if they are lucky enough. Consequently, safety is essential. If you are in Las Vegas with a bigger amount of money, it is recommended to keep them in a deposit box or simply on your credit card. Remember, that casinos are insuring the safety of the clients within the casino, but when you are outside you are on your own.

Always pay attention to your surroundings and always be careful. It is also recommended not to discuss about the amount of money you gambled or how much money you won. Money attracts thieves like a magnet, so if you don’t want to end up a victim of them, be discrete and do not brag with your money in front of everybody. It is better not to walk with your car alone in the dark or do not adventure on foot on suspicious dark alleys.

If you find yourself in the position of winning a serious amount of money, ask for a check instead for cash for the whole amount. Please note, that casinos offer escort service for their clients who win there, so don’t be shy to ask for it. Pay attention to pick pocketing, as that is the most frequent crime in Las Vegas.
