The Pros and Cons of a Typical Las Vegas Wedding
The city of Las Vegas is very famous for hosting around 120,000 weddings a year. Thus, it makes the city undoubtedly the most popular wedding destination till date.
However, the question that remains unanswered is whether a Las Vegas is perfect for you or not. The answer stands no, if you are a couple with a traditional thought or if you have plans of getting married and hosting the party since puberty. However, on the other side, if you are planning to get married quickly or if you have something different in mind, then Las Vegas is the perfect wedding destination for you. I have typed below some of the illuminated and darker sides of a typical Las Vegas wedding. For a green signal from your side, you will be joining the elite club of sharing your wedding party place with Wayne Newton, Elvis Presley, Demi More, Bruce Willis, Britney Spears, Michael Jordan and Frank Sinatra.
The Positives of a Las Vegas Wedding
Affordability: As far as my knowledge goes, affordability is by far the biggest advantage a typical Las Vegas wedding can be proud of. You can have a furnished wedding within the size of your wallet as against other weddings.
Timing: Booking a chapel is not a matter of joke especially when you are running short of time. However, it is quite possible, if your wedding is held in Las Vegas. Reservations and walk-ins both are there, but a hint of caution is that never ever try to walk into any of the Las Vegas chapels either during holidays or on February 14.
Convenience: Most of the Las Vegas hotels, which flaunt a wedding chapel, also have a coordinator who helps you to arrange everything from music to photography to music to the officiate. Not only this, everything can be done over the phone only.
Fun: There are couples who have got married before, older couples and of course, the couples, who love to appreciate the ease of atypical wedding in Las Vegas and no one would ever stop you even, if you want to get married by an Elvis impersonator.
Start an Early Honeymoon: There is absolutely no necessity of going out of the city or boarding a plane as Las Vegas is not only the wedding hub of the world, but also a very good honeymoon destination.
Negatives of a Las Vegas Wedding
Your own way of wedding: Nothing can be compared between a typical shortly planned Las Vegas wedding and another one, which has been planned for months or for years. I can very clearly state that if you are the person, who is very choosy about custom favors, colors, local florists, baker, bands and all other elements customize and personalize your wedding, there is always an element of doubt that you would be satisfied with a Las Vegas wedding.
Conveyor Belt Mentality: there are sometimes failures in hosting two or more parties in the wedding chapel. There are some hotels flaunting more than one chapels and it may arise that we may end up in encountering people from other parties also. The good chapels in the city have exactly 1 hour of chapel time, which has been bifurcated as 15 minute for ceremony, another of the same for photography and 30 minutes sharp for arrival of guests and making them sit. Chances are there that walking down the strip later may end up seeing other couples on that special day.
Guests List: As it is distanced from other cities, so on the wedding date, it becomes difficult for friends and relatives to travel to the city and see you as a couple. However, this factor helps in staying from friends and relatives, who are marginally valuable to you.
Reception Sites: the particular places where weddings are conducted in Las Vegas have drawback that hosting an afterward reception would call for a separate arrangement. In comparison to this, large hotels showcase meeting rooms and banquet, which are frequently used for hosting corporate functions. In my opinion, booking a private room in the restaurant is the best possible option.
Tacky image: In spite of all the efforts put together by the hotels of Las Vegas, the weddings are considered by many people.
The Best Wishes
Finally, I would like to conclude that it is not that important to give priority to a wedding destination. Rather, it is important to live a life with stability after you get married.
